S&P 500 and Dow Jones close lower After Trump Tests Positive for Coronavirus. Dow Jones Industrial Average was down more than 400 points. Oil prices also fell more than 2 % sharply after President Trump and the first lady tested positive for the coronavirus.

“Markets hate uncertainty,” said Lisa Erickson, head of the traditional investment group at U.S. Bank Wealth Management.

  • Shares of Apple fell $3.77, or 3.2%, to $113.02, Adobe declined $20.52, or 4.1%, to $478.99.
  • The yield on the 10-year U.S. Treasury note closed at 0.694% from 0.677% Thursday.
