I Do Not Know This…Yet

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Off late I am following models that will help me build resilience. One of the fantastic model I learnt recently was to add “yet” after anything you do not know about.

Just add yet after anything you do not know or do not have. Take for example, I do not have a million dollars…yet. Or I do not know how to speak mandarin…yet.

You see how it changes the meaning of the sentence and provides you with a different perspective. We do not achieve things in life because we under estimate ourselves. We limit ourselves to the world we know. We do not challenge the monotony.

I come across folks who are high earners but do not have a corpus of INR 1 crore or US$ 100,000. There is always some reason. I have too many responsibilities or I am paying too many EMIs or my family does not align with this line of thought. What they do not understand is that if they could save and invest INR 25,000 (US$ 400) each month, they could accumulate INR 1 crore (US$ 138,000) in a little less than 15 years. You can play with the numbers but all I am saying is that you need consistent behavior to achieve results. Nothing is impossible. No one ever thought that we could go to Mars.
